Well, I was wondering what the coldest temperature was that anyone ever flew an RC model in.

If it doesn't let up soon, I may just break that record.
I have read that a Lipo battery doesn't like it very cold. They don't like it hot either.

I have a new wing for my aerial photo plane that will be needing a test very soon.
The high temp today was 25 F. I may soon have an answer about cold Lipo's performance.
At least there is some nice soft snow to crash in.

Here is a picture of my new wing. The original shows the changes I have made.
Airfoil is still undercambered to keep the speed down.
The wingspan is six inched longer. I still have to cover the top with Monocote.The original wing is behind.

Ok... so is it going to be called a "Medium Stik" now? And whats next Turbine powered ? Supersonic Stik?

I knew I could count on eeeeky for any help. The wing is now finished. No one in their right mind would go out to test it as late as eeeeky gets out of school

Maybe Saturday?

Thanks Gary for helping me post that photo. I'm saving my pop can money for the turbine!

Update: Saturday was no good for flying so I took a photo of the finished wing on the old ss fuse.
It looks a bit like the old wing, but is longer in span, has two surfaces with ribs, and is a lot smoother.
The reason for the entire project, the camera, is plain in this photo. Angled down 20 degrees off the port wing.

What do you have there a JetCat P-80? That thing idles about 32,000RPM and max out around 120-150K RPM and puts out about 20 Lbs of thrust, Yep I would say that should be enough power to get it up in the air. The only thing is it may never came back down!
